You probably already have decorations out in your home. Home decor is a staple in even the most basic home. You probably have a table or mantle that has an element of decor on it. Let’s start there.
Have a good look at the pieces in your decor arrangement. What are some smaller elements in your arrangement? In my arrangement, I had small/medium boxwood balls. Those things are so versatile. I got mine half off at Hobby Lobby and haven’t looked back.
Anyway, I replaced some of the smaller boxwood balls with a few pumpkins. I didn’t have enough pumpkins to replace all the boxwood balls and still have some variety, so I left a few and replaced a few. Then, I just put the replaced boxwood ball down on the shelf to give the arrangement some variety.
And to balance the arrangement out, I added some pumpkins on the shelf. I had one fake cloth pumpkin hanging around, so I added it to the arrangement, too. That one just gave it some variety and helped tone down the colors coming off of the real pumpkins.
I love how it turned out. It fits in with the rest of my home decor but still has a fall feel. It took me about 5 minutes to throw pumpkins up on the mantle. I didn’t have to unpack any fall decor items from the attic or pack up any of my regular decor items.
It’s easy. It looks awesome (in my busy mama opinion). And it’s festive. Score!
